GUIDED JUNGLE HIKES AND BIRD WATCHING

With the first hint of sunlight each morning, the jungle around Qamea is filled with the singing of rare tropical birds, many found only on Qamea, as they greet the new day. And again before sunset, particularly in our Jungle Spa, you will feel almost as if you are on safari in Africa. The birds will soothe your soul and lift your spirit. Qamea and Taveuni are world famous for rare tropical bird species - - in particular the Orange Dove, and even if you are not a bird enthusiast, you cannot help but be impressed. The mountains and valleys on Qamea Island are a maze of lush tropical jungle and pristine white sand beaches.

Once or twice a week we offer a guided jungle and beach hike so you can experience first hand the full beauty and diversity of our island. Along the way your guide will explain to you the history of Qamea Island, point out different flora and fauna, and answer any questions you might have
